Jesus- centered Gathering!
Including worships, workshops, and time to talk!
Below are some of our speakers and singers!
Live Hymnal is a mainline congregation's band, through and through. Originally from South Florida, they spent twelve years of rocking consecutive Sundays with cross-cultural, multi-genre, congregational music. This is their second Revival, 11th Diocesan event and somewhere in the 1,000th chance to lead a congregation in singing sacred music, ancient and new. They are now working on their fourth album and are excited to lead the great people of Maryland in singing their hearts out this July. Leading the band will be festival music director, Charles Milling, and his long time running partner, Nat Stokes (of Black Violin).
The Most Rev. Michael Bruce Curry is presiding bishop and primate of The Episcopal Church. At the church’s 78th General Convention in June 2015, he was elected to a nine-year term in this role and installed in November of that year; he serves as The Episcopal Church’s chief pastor, spokesperson, and president and chief executive officer.
Rev. Mariama White-Hammond was appointed as Chief of Environment, Energy, and Open Space for the City of Boston in April 2021. In this role, she oversees policy and programs on energy, climate change, sustainability, historic preservation, and open space. Over the course of her time with the City, she has supported the amendment of the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO) to set carbon targets for existing large buildings and convened a city-led green jobs program.
At the 80th General Convention in 2022, Julia Ayala Harris was elected president of the House of Deputies, the presiding officer who works alongside the presiding bishop.
President Ayala Harris is the first Latina and woman of color to hold the position. She is passionate about a multitude of issues, such as immigration, race and ethnicity, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and truth-telling, as well as justice initiatives.
