EIJP - Emerging International Journalists Program

 
 
Building on our original content expertise, we began our Emerging International Journalists Program for undergraduate & graduate students from local and recent graduates from local universities to tell the stories of the global work done by our Members, have meaningful conversations with regional leaders, and write their unique perspective about trips to world heritage sites across the world made possible through our OWHC connections. 
 
The program acts as a dynamic training ground and platform for new voices on international topics connected to the Philadelphia region.

Barnes Foundation Hosts Special Exhibit Celebrating the Work of Renoir and His Son
Located on display in the first floor of the Barnes Foundation, lives the artwork of late Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and the filmwork directed by his late son, Jean Renoir. When entering the first room of the Renoir exhibition, a clip from “Elena and Her Man,” a film directed by Jean Renoir is played. In this short scene, Jean invites the viewer to witness the beauty of what it means to be young and in love, as depicted by the young French couple.

2018 Eisenhower Fellows Awards Dinner

This year’s dinner program was presided by Robert M. Gates, former U.S.Secretary of Defense, who, earlier that day, had been sworn in as the ninth Chairman of EF.
2018 NAFSA Conference – Discussing and Exchanging Ideas About Higher Education in Latin America: The Latin America Forum

The main focus of the conference dealt with international policy issues, such as immigration, U.S.-Cuban relations, and education. The conference welcomed many visitors including scholars, students and educators from various universities all over the world.

Lipman Family Prize Strengthens its Commitment to Leadership and Innovation
Amber Mackay for GPA For several years the Barry & Marie Lipman Family Prize has awarded prizes to organizations that celebrate leadership and innovation in the social sector. Earlier this month the Lipman Family Prize announced that the prize would doubled, be increasing to $250,000 to one outstanding organization, and $25,000 to two finalists.
