The United African Educational Foundation (UAEF) is a nonprofit, charitable organization with the aim of addressing more directly the educational needs and aspirations of school children of African descent in the United States and other parts of the world. As part of the educational outreach, UAEF produces and publishes a series of African fables and folktales in the form of children’s books, as well as other forms of learning material and educational services. We believe that investing in the productive education of our children is the smart way of investing in our future. To this end, UAEF is firmly about the business of lifting the minds and aspirations of our young that they may lift our world to a perfect humanity.

ONE BRIGHT RAY COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL (OBRCHS) IS A PROJECT OF ONE BRIGHT RAY, INC. (OBR)

We are a diploma granting accelerated high school program with a rich history and strong track record of success. We serve students from the city of Philadelphia who are over aged and under credited. Our students must be between 16 and 21 years of age and at least 1 ½ years behind in credits.

The Liberia Education Project (LEP) began as a result of a vision by Jacob G. Madehdou, a member of the Somerton United Methodist Church (SUMC), Philadelphia, PA and native of Liberia, West Africa. SUMC is a relatively small church in Northeast Philadelphia (less than 200 members and a weekly attendence of 50).

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), founded in 1929, is the oldest and most widely respected Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States of America. LULAC was created at a time in our country’s history when Hispanics were denied basic civil and human rights, despite contributions to American society. The founders of LULAC created an organization that empowers its members to create and develop opportunities where they are needed most.

KOREAN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES CENTER

KCDSC is a nonprofit organization located in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia. Our mission is to provide the support services that address the felt needs within our community so that our community members can achieve personal growth and pursue community growth.

Aid for the Children of Liberia (ACL), 501(c) (3), established in 2006, is a charity organization, dedicated to promoting child development by providing an opportunity for war affected and vulnerable children to have access to primary education, health, food, clothes, books, and a caring environment where their confidence, sense of belonging, self esteem and hope for the future can be restored. 

Pan American Academy is a K through 8 charter school founded by Congreso in September 2008. Governed by a committed Board of Trustees, Pan American Academy provides high-quality education to over 700 students in eastern North Philadelphia.
