Set in Franklin Delano Roosevelt Park in South Philadelphia is the American Swedish Historical Museum. Their newly opened exhibit, Radically Marimekko, features colorful fabrics which were created from Finnish traditions and the contemporary art world. A tour of the room takes visitors through the company’s journey, from its start to its current standing as a fashion symbol.

In Old City, Philadelphia, Carpenters’ Hall was the site where Founding Fathers frequented and where early America took shape. The National Historic Landmark was and still is home to the Carpenters’ Company, a group of master builders who laid the foundations for Philadelphia’s first buildings and sites that were home to many of the nation's most pivotal moments.

In times of crisis, Dr. Stephen S. Tang encourages us to lead with purpose and compassion. He recalls his experience as the CEO of OraSure Technologies Inc. in his 2023 memoir, A Test for Our Time: Crisis Leadership in the Next Normal. On April 4, 2023, Global Philadelphia hosted a “Meet the City Council” event for city residents, leaders, business associates, young professionals, students, and educators. The event took place at Deloitte, 1700 Market Street, Suite 2700, Philadelphia, PA 19103 from 5pm to 7pm. The event was co-chaired by Harold Yaffee, Executive Committee Board Member at Global Philadelphia Association, and special guest Denise Nakano, of KYW News radio, who was the emcee for the evening.

On Thursday, June 1, the Philadelphia International Unity Cup unveiled its 2023 jersey and drew teams for the 7th Annual International Unity Cup. The draw took place at Lincoln Financial Field, the location of one of the sixteen cities that will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
