College Fest Kick-starts Philadelphia’s Fall Semester

Campus Philly hosted their annual College Fest on September 7, 2019 at Dilworth Park. As part of the 2019 Global Philly Expo, the event provided local students with an opportunity to meet an array of Philadelphia’s business leaders as they flocked back to the city for the start of the fall semester.

Over 6,000 college students attended the event alongside over 45 exhibitors, including IKEA, GoPuff, Bank of America, Lyft, Chegg, and many more.

Students were excited to see the variety of free prizes and giveaways that many of the vendors hosted, such as free coffee samples from Dunkin’ and free reusable bags from IKEA (that were handed out when students signed up for IKEA Family). However, the real showstopper was Bank of America’s budget competition: students were tasked with collecting “college-necessity” items that totaled up to $35, and those who were successful won a drawstring bag with a $10 gift card.

In addition to vendor activities, students had the opportunity to listen to live music and get free admission to some of Philadelphia’s most popular destinations, including the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Eastern State Penitentiary, the Franklin Institute, and many more.
