Rough Cut Productions

Rough Cut Productions is a collaborative media production team handling all aspects of media creation with a significant focus upon video production. Rough Cut was founded by Douglas Herman- Director of media studies at Science Leadership Academy in 2009, and has been providing professional media services for the greater Philadelphia area ever since.

The Rough Cut staff is comprised of current and former students of the program, acting as full partners in the present and future of a nonprofit recently made a full member of the Culture Works of Greater Philadelphia. In the coming year, Rough Cut’s larger initiative- to bring media creation programming to public schools students across our great city- will take root in the 4th Annual Rough Cut Film Festival showcasing films from high school and university film programs, summer film intensives and after-school programs in the fall of 2016. Meanwhile, our team of talented media creators will continue to push our collective envelope by producing original content and providing professional media services for those in need.
