Women's Campaign International (WCI) empowers women worldwide to actively participate in civil society, political leadership, economic development and peace building. Specializing in transitional states and post-conflict regions around the world, WCI equips women and girls with the skills and support needed to transform their lives and communities.

Below are just a few examples of the impact WCI has made worldwide:

  • Trained more than 20,000 Liberian women in agriculture, leadership and financial literacy
  • Encouraged more than 250,000 individuals in Malawi to be tested for HIV/AIDS through an advocacy campaign
  • Trained 52 newly elected Afghan women Members of Parliament
  • Worked with more than 500 women, men and youth across 15 countries in the Middle East and North Africa to advocate for the advancement of women across the region

WCI was founded in 1998 by former Congresswoman, Marjorie Margolies. Since then, we have implemented programs in more than 40 countries including Afghanistan, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Colombia, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iraq, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Palestine, Romania, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Uruguay and Venezuela.
