From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will themed music, dance, theater, and crafts offered at the museum. At 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m., children's singer Louie Miranda will perform folk songs in English and Spanish. Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders and the football team's mascot, Swoop, will give a special presentation at noon. At 2 p.m., visitors can get their groove on while learning the art of stepping.
TV network Telemundo will have a working television studio on-site where kids can go in front of the camera and report the weather in Spanish or English. They can later watch their weather-report performance online at www.holaciudad.com. In the museum's program room, the Mexican Cultural Center will acquaint children with glyph reading and Mayan glyph painting. On the museum lawn, visitors can see soccer demonstrations and drills by the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer organization. There will also be face painting in the Carousel House.
