Join us for GPLEX 360's "Pathways Forward: Alternative Education for Philadelphia's Youth" event on July 6th! The event will kick off with a guided tour of One Art Community Center, where you'll learn about We Love Philly, the youth program run by Carlos Aponte that provides opportunities for young people to engage in community-building activities and develop workforce and leadership skills.
After the tour, we'll head over to Localhost by Nerd Street gaming, a local gaming arena and space that provides access to esports, gaming events, and educational programs. You'll discover how Localhost is serving the youth in the area and providing innovative educational opportunities. To conclude the day, we'll have a short panel conversation on the future of Philadelphia's youth, featuring experts in alternative education and youth development.
You'll have the chance to ask questions and share your own ideas. After the panel, there will be an optional hour for game play at Localhost, where you can try out some of the latest games and meet other gaming enthusiasts.
Don't miss this opportunity to explore alternative education options and learn about organizations making a difference in Philly's youth communities!
*Proceeds will be used to pay speakers and to support our GPLEX scholarship fund*
