Penn Museum opens its doors to all at this free day, part of the Wawa Welcome America annual celebration. Come out to visit our 13-ton Sphinx, the largest in the Western Hemisphere, surrounded by monumental elements of a Pharaoh’s palace, before the Egypt (Sphinx) gallery closes for major renovations on July 8! Explore objects from 10,000 years of human history in the new Middle East Galleries, understand more about the human body with real mummies, investigate stone monuments from the ancient Maya, find out about replica artifacts at Cartifact stations, and more! Relax in one of our beautiful outdoor garden spaces, find something special in the Museum Shop, and enjoy a bite in the Pepper Mill Café.
Free Admission.
