Philly Tech Week is a week-long celebration of technology and innovation in Philadelphia. The annual week of events is intended to grow the impact of this innovative region through programming focused on technology, collaboration and improving Philadelphia.

2013 FEATURED EVENTS

The International Space Apps Challenge is a two-day technology development event during which citizens from around the world will work together to address current challenges relevant to both space exploration and social need. NASA believes that mass collaboration is key to creating and discovering state-of-the-art technology.

The Women in Tech Summit will bring together women who will support, challenge and empower other women at all stages of their careers. Panels and talks plus workshops to learn technology skills. This year, the event will feature top notch keynote speakers and workshops addressing UX, Cloud, Mobility, App Development, Security Social and Big Data.

The theme is “if only you knew!”; the goal will be to make sure attendees know what information, technology and partnership is available to them and how far they can go with that knowledge. The Women in Tech Summit supports the Techgirlz organization and all proceeds from this year’s event will go toward assisting the charter of Techgirlz.

Philadelphia’s technology community has lots to offer the region, country and the world. Philly Tech Week aims to facilitate as many crossovers between industries as possible. Artists, designers, business people, students, government and everyone in between will be participating in Philly Tech Week.
