The SDG Walking Tour in Center City, scheduled for August 23rd, 2023, promises an enriching experience exploring various murals dedicated to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The tour will encompass three significant murals crafted by talented artists. Barbara Smolen's compelling artwork depicting SDG5 (Gender Equality) at Friends Select (17th & 1651, Benjamin Franklin Pkwy) will be one of the highlights. Additionally, the tour will feature SDG6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) mural by Miriam Singer, displayed at the Academy of Natural Sciences on 1900 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to witness Russell Craig's powerful mural portraying SDG17 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) at 2042 Arch St. 

The meeting point for the tour will be at Logan Square, convening around the central water fountain in the park. Participants are expected to gather at 4:00 pm, and the tour will promptly commence at 5:00 pm. Notably, the celebrated artist Barbara Smolen has been invited to join the tour and share insights into her artwork and the significance of SDG5. 

Throughout the tour, the participants will delve into the critical talking points related to the Sustainable Development Goals. Specifically, they will explore the importance of SDG5 in promoting Gender Equality, SDG6 in advocating for Clean Water and Sanitation, and SDG17, emphasizing Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions. Moreover, the tour aims to shed light on the broader significance of the SDGs as a whole, fostering a deeper understanding of their role in creating a more sustainable and equitable world. 

Furthermore, the tour will also discuss the essential role of the Greater Philadelphia Area (GPA) in promoting and supporting the Sustainable Development Goals within the local community.
