Philadelphia is known as the city of "brotherly love and sisterly affection" and is now home to over 200,000 immigrants, comprising 12% of the total population in the city. Yet the needs of immigrants and ethnic communities are often neglected. These Immigrant and ethnic communities represent a large and diverse group of people who are often underrepresented in "mainstream" Philadelphia.

On April 11th, the United Voices of Philadelphia (including Latino, Asian, African, Caribbean, Arab, Muslim, new immigrants, and ethnic minorities) will host a Mayoral Primary forum in which candidates will have the opportunity to tackle the issues and concerns of the immigrant population. Such issues will include: Education, Business, Arts & Culture, Employment, Public Safety, Immigration and welcoming, Electoral participation, language access, and Healthcare all in the context of our communities..

The questions we generate will come from people like you, so please join us and let your voice be heard! Use the hashtag #united4philly and ask questions, tweet about the event and post pictures!
