Due to Covid-19, all homeschool programs are virtual until further notice.

The Institute is pleased to offer science programs for children who are home schooled or in groups of fewer than 10 children.

  • Programs are FREE, but reservations are required.
  • Reservations operate on a rolling basis, and you may reserve as many or as few as you would like.
  • Please remember to make a reservation by the Monday before the week of the lesson.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.

All programs consist of an interactive, hands-on, skills-based lesson in our 19th century lecture hall, real natural history specimens to touch, and a scavenger hunt in the museum gallery on TUESDAYS & WEDNESDAYS.

Take a Virtual Field Trip at the Wagner and engage with our museum educator LIVE! Did you know that all minerals are crystals? Do you know which animals we are closely related to? Learn and find out way more on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, February 16th through March 3rd, when children of all ages can enjoy lessons about geology and comparative anatomy – for FREE! You can join for the entire 3-week series or for just a few lessons.
