Millions of Europeans live outside of the European Union and many more live outside of their country of origin within the EU. "European CItizens Abroad" is an international, non-partisan, and pro-EU political organization. "Europeans Abroad Vote 2014", their first initiative, aims at raising awareness of the EU Parliament Elections in 2014 and increasing participation of European citizens who do not live in their native country.

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC), founded in 1929, is the oldest and most widely respected Hispanic civil rights organization in the United States of America. LULAC was created at a time in our country’s history when Hispanics were denied basic civil and human rights, despite contributions to American society. The founders of LULAC created an organization that empowers its members to create and develop opportunities where they are needed most.

A Son Reaches Tribal Past

On May 20, the University City Science Center (3711 Market St.) hosted David Good for a presentation in their "Lunch for Hungry Minds" series. Good is a student at East Stroudsburg University whose father, an anthropologist, met his mother while researching her indigenous village in the Amazon.
