Guided Search: Communications, Swedish

On December 15, the Global Interdependence Center and the Norwegian-American Chamber of Commerce Philadelphia joined forces to host a panel of Nordic economic thought leaders, brought together to discuss the region's consistent financial success and the potential existence of a Nordic economic model.

On June 6, The American Swedish Historical Museum (1900 Pattison Ave.) celebrated "National Sweden Day," by offering free admission. Visitors discovered a world of historical treasures, learning experiences and ties to Philadelphia that they never imagined.

Jan Campbell-Westlind is the President and Founder of Campbell-Westlind & Associates. As a cross-cultural trainer, consultant and executive coach, Jan has assisted and facilitated the adjustment process to a new culture for a large number of corporate executives and their families from various countries. As a Foreign Service Officer, Jan has spent more than 25 years overseas in ten different countries on four continents. With extended assignments in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Ivory Coast, Kuwait, South Korea, the United States and Sweden he has, together with his family, acquired an intimate knowledge of the challenges that expatriates’ face in an overseas environment. He speaks English, Swedish and French, and has been the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Philadelphia since 2009.

The search is on for the fort built by Delaware’s first permanent settlers, with researchers determined to solve a mystery left by Swedes and Finns who landed here 375 years ago.
