Craig Hamilton

Craig Hamilton is the Principal at Hamilton Partners, LLC.

Prior that, he served as the Vice President of Global Initiatives and Government Relations for The Philadelphia Orchestra. With over 20 years of experience in Arts Management, he is currently responsible for leading the Orchestra’s China Residency Project, as well as overseeing The Philadelphia Orchestra’s global and local initiatives, including its international touring, national residency programs, and regional community outreach and partnerships. He is also responsible for all of The Philadelphia Orchestra’s relationships at the city, state and federal levels of government.

Prior to his current role, he was the Director of Development for The Philadelphia Orchestra, where he managed all of the Orchestra's annual giving programs, including the individual, corporate, foundation and planned giving programs, which raise over $13 million annually.

Craig came to The Philadelphia Orchestra from WHYY, where he was Executive Director of Development and oversaw a broad range of membership efforts. There, he was responsible for increasing support and other giving through on-air member drives, major gifts, direct mail and telephone solicitation, all of which fund the day-to-day operations of WHYY-TV12 and 91FM.

Prior to joining WHYY, Craig was Director of Marketing and Communications with the Opera Company of Philadelphia, and he began his career as the publicist for The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce.

He has a degree in Journalism, Public Relations, from Temple University, and also studied at The University of London.

A Center City Philadelphia resident, he is a member of the board of directors of The Philadelphia Cultural Fund and The Azuka Theater Company. He also serves on the Development Committee for The Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

He was named one of Philadelphia’s 40 Leaders Under 40 by The Philadelphia Business Journal, and received an Emmy Award for “Best Performing Arts Program” for his work as Executive Producer of “Denyce Graves: Breaking the Rules,” which aired nationally on PBS.

He was also named one of Philadelphia’s “101 Real Leaders” by The Philadelphia Inquirer.
