Sally Weinberg is the founder of Textiil
Sally moved with her family to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2008.
She worked as a marketing consultant, studied Bahasa Malay and learned about some of the heritage textile crafts in the region. Upon returning to the US she started Textiil, sourcing artisan fabrics from Malaysia and Indonesia. Textiil is currently working with natural dye batik makers in Indonesia on a line of eco-friendly fabric for home goods including table linens and decorative pillows. Prior to Textiil, Sally was a direct and digital marketing professional working with both Fortune 50 and early stage enterprises. She also lived and taught English in Japan with the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program.
Over the years, Sally has worked on many projects with Business Volunteers for the Arts in both San Francisco and New York.
She is currently working with the Center for Creative Works in Wynnewood as a marketing communications volunteer.
