Tammy Murphy returned to the United States after three years abroad and began her career teaching English at the secondary school level. While teaching, she earned an MA with honors in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania where she focused on Alternative Dispute Resolution. Prompted by the IPCR program's study abroad requirement, she also earned an LL.M. with distinction in Dispute Resolution from the University of London's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
Ms. Murphy has also worked with the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights; Global Exchange; Jewish Voice for Peace; the United Nation Association of Greater Philadelphia and the National Lawyers Guild.She is now Executive Director of the Project for Nuclear Awareness (PNA). PNA advocates for the abolition of nuclear weapons by educating the public and policy makers through youth-led research and advocacy.
