As the United States’ first World Heritage City, Philadelphia is set apart from other cities because of its distinctive history and culture and its contributions to the global community. Being the birthplace of American democracy, Philadelphia has a famed history of activism and change and is a diverse and inclusive city with a thriving multicultural business community.

The city has a rich African-American history, vibrant Asian and Hispanic communities, and one of the country’s oldest and largest “Gayborhoods.” Therefore, with a diversified culture such as Philadelphia's, it should come as no surprise that the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Conference will be held on April 8-9, 2019, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia at the Comcast Center.

The Diversity and Inclusion Conference is a hospitality and education summit devoted to the exchange of insights and concepts about diversity and inclusion best practices. The goal is to hold a conference to discuss strategies that can influence corporate social responsibility and broaden cross-cultural understanding.

The Conference is designed for CEOs, corporate leaders, Chief Diversity Officers and government officials; senior-level hospitality executives, minority hotel organizations and tourism executives; and university-level hospitality educators and administrators who are all seeking new innovative, forward-thinking D & I strategies.

Discussion at the Diversity and Inclusion Conference will include:

  • Learning how to incorporate the critical component of D & I into your organization’s corporate culture

  • Ensuring that your organization’s D & I strategy aligns with its business objectives

  • Hearing research about what customers want from D & I focused organizations

  • Reviewing accountability mechanisms to measure the success of your D & I initiatives

  • Understanding how a globally inclusive and culturally competent workforce can be created
