Girard College Premieres "Stephen Girard: A Philadelphia Legacy"

Girard College recently premiered a documentary about the College's founder, statesman Stephen Girard. The film was commissioned by Girard College and underwritten by two Girard alumni.
On December 6, 2011, Girard held a premiere ceremony at Independence Seaport Museum. The event began with a French-themed reception in honor of Girard's native country. Attendees enjoyed a performance by the Junior Cavaliers choir and remarks from:
- Kevin Feeley, Girard alumnus and president of Bellevue Communications
- Film Producer Sam Katz of History Making Productions
- David L. Cohen, EVP of Comcast Communications, who gave the keynote address
- Girard President Autumn A. Graves
- Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter
