Global Philadelphia Unveils New Public Mural at The Academy of Natural Sciences, Promoting Accessibility to Safe Clean Water & Sanitation Sources

GLOBAL PHILADELPHIA UNVEILS NEW PUBLIC MURAL AT THE ACADEMY OF NATURAL SCIENCES, PROMOTING ACCESSIBILITY TO SAFE CLEAN WATER & SANITATION SOURCES 

Nonprofit dedicated to enhancing Philadelphia’s global profile debuts a new community mural in association with The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and Mural Arts Philadelphia.

WHAT: Global Philadelphia Association meets another United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) with the unveiling of a new public art mural by Miriam Singer, celebrating SDG #6 – Clean Water and Sanitation.  The mural unveiling is sponsored by The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University and promotes increased access to safe, clean water sources and sanitation for all. 

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action set forth by United Nations for all countries – poor, rich, and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities while tackling climate change and environmental protection.  

WHEN: Thursday, November 17, 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Remarks will begin promptly at 3 PM.
