The IOT seeks to encourage attitudes of appreciation and receptivity across all cultures and ideologies through the re-imagining of already-existing operas and the creation of wholly original works of art. The IOT believes that participation in the artistic experience has the power to open the doors of communication between different populations, which results in bringing wholeness, healing, and understanding to all involved.
Over the years, the International Opera Theater has fostered relationships with artists form 36 countries to share their work in Philadelphia.
