pphc2011@portugalinphilly.com The Philadelphia Portuguese Heritage Commission (PPHC) was founded by Portuguese-Americans with the sole purpose of building and sustaining awareness of the Portuguese culture, Luso-American businesses and their attributes to the city of Philadelphia. Over 30 years old, the PPHC is the active nucleus in yearly event held at Penn’s Landing, known as the Dia De Portugal (Day of Portugal) driving thousands of Americans and immigrants alike to a day-long event showcasing traditions from the mother country of Portugal and its islands of Madeira and the Azores, and the Community of Portuguese Languange Countries: Brazil, Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Príncipe, and East Timor.
