http://www.valleyforgeaudubon.org/ Valley Forge Audubon Society (VFAS) was founded in 1960 to encourage conservation of natural resources, including wildlife, plants, soil, air, and water. VFAS is a chapter of the National Audubon Society serving individuals residing in Southeastern Pennsylvania, including Delaware and Chester Counties, and parts of Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties. Our mission is to preserve birds, other wildlife, and their habitats by promoting appreciation and stewardship of the local natural environment through education and active participation. Valley Forge Audubon Society is an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff.
The society sponsors a variety of programs and events related to birds, wildlife, and conservation including bird and nature walks, hikes, and educational programs. The chapter focus is on promoting healthy habitats by using native plants.
