We have a number of programs designed to provide businesses with the necessary tools and information to succeed globally.

  • Export Finance Initiative- This program provides small- and medium-sized exporters with a roadmap to access financing programs available to them. The Export Finance Initiative is part of the City/State Partners Initiative of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, which brings state, county, and local non-profit economic development entities together with Ex-Im Bank in a partnership initiative designed to expand export opportunities.
  • Job Creation through Export Development: Innovative Manufacturing and Services–  This program promotes the growth of exports and export-related jobs for Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey companies. The program focuses on four specific industry sectors; energy and environment, high tech and nanotechnology, biotech and life sciences, and education and knowledge.
  • CEOs’ China Operations Club (COC)– Since receiving the 2006 Program Excellence Award from the North American Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE), the CEO’s China Operations Club has continued to excel in educating companies on the nuances of the Chinese market, while creating a peer-to-peer sharing of experiences of doing business in China.
  • Export for Scholars– The Export for Scholars program pairs MBA students interested in international trade with local businesses conducting global trade and participating in trade missions. During a WTCGP-organized trade mission, the students observe company meetings with potential international business partners, provided the students with a rich learning experience.
  • IndiaExchange Network– The India Exchange Network is designed for area companies conducting business in India. The network enables companies and international business professionals to share best practices and on-the-ground expertise, thereby enhancing participants’ knowledge of doing business in India.
  • PennsylvaniaCenter for Trade Development– The WTCGP is the official representative of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s Center for Trade Development in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Through the program the WTCGP provides one-on-one international trade counseling in coordination with Pennsylvania Authorized International Trade Representatives (ATRs).
  • Latin American Trade Development Program– The mission of the Latin American Trade Development Program is to increase the number of Southeastern Pennsylvania companies exporting their products and services to Latin American Markets. The program provides participants with seminars, international partner and distributor searches, one-on-one counseling, and assistance with market entry strategies.
  • International Design & Engineering Consortium (IDEC). The IDEC is a cooperative group of architectural, engineering, and construction management companies looking to expand their businesses worldwide. The purpose is to identify and pursue international construction projects through the utilization of the WTCGP’s network of international contacts.
  • American Business Practices for International Students– This program provides a unique opportunity for international college students to gain exposure to Pennsylvania companies and obtain insights into the way business is done in the region. As part of the program, students participate in events that build awareness of U.S. business practices, while preparing them for success in the global marketplace.
