PlanPhilly

PlanPhilly is an independent news gathering entity affiliated with PennPraxis, the clinical arm of the School of Design of the University of Pennsylvania. Former reporters and editors from The Philadelphia Inquirer, as well as citizen journalists, provide daily news coverage of the built and planned environment.
PlanPhilly was created in 2006 to cover the Central Delaware Riverfront Visioning exercise and was funded at its founding by the William Penn Foundation and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
PlanPhilly.com is an attempt to actively engage Philadelphians in dialogue about the future of this great city. It is meant to be a tool that educates and connects citizens, developers, business people and politicians alike in a discussion about what a world-class 21st century city should be.
