The Philadelphia region is home to hundreds of non-profit organizations, civic and professional associations, and public agencies dedicated to connecting the region to the rest of the world and enhancing its international reputation.  

Whether it's an international development agency working on behalf of women's rights in Afghanistan or teaching sustainable agricultural techniques in Africa, an association of citizens organized in support of the goals of the United Nations, a chapter of the International Visitors Council dedicated to citizen diplomacy, or a chamber of commerce focused on promoting business ties with South America, you can find it here.

Creating community through the power of art Connecting cultural expression and social change, Asian Arts Initiative uses art as a vehicle to explore the experiences of Asian Americans and the diverse communities of which we are a part. Located in Philadelphia’s burgeoning Chinatown North neighborhood, Asian Arts Initiative is a multidisciplinary arts center offering exhibitions, performances, artist residencies, youth workshops, and a community gathering space. Here, all people — across experience and skill levels, age, race, and class backgrounds — can view and create art that reflects our lives, as well as think critically and creatively about the future we want to build for our communities.   Asian Arts Initiative is a community-based arts center in Philadelphia that engages artists and everyday people to create art that explores the diverse experiences of Asian Americans, addresses our social context, and  imagines and effects positive community change.
Asociación de Puertorriqueños en Marcha for Everyone (APM) is a Latino-based health, human services, community and economic development non-profit organization helping Philadelphia area families achieve their full potential in life.
AID Inc is a non-profit organization that brings together volunteers and aims to empower the poor and the needy in India through projects in literacy, health care, rural development and women's empowerment in all the regions of India. AID currently has 41 volunteer-run chapters across the US, funding and supporting 100's of projects and major programs in India. AID Philadelphia was born on September 13, 2003. AID Philadelphia volunteers meet at the University of Pennsylvania campus in the University City campus in Philadelphia fortnightly on Sundays at 2:00 pm.

BigPictureSmallWorld Inc. is dedicated to providing quality educational, training, and consulting programs that inform, inspire and empower. BigPicture works with schools, colleges, corporations, and organizations around the world seeking to motivate and excite students, executives, and others about the wonders and challenges of the global predicament and how each person can participate in shaping the world to match core values. BigPicture uses simulations, games, web movies, lectures, assemblies, teacher development, consulting, books, and curriculum materials toward this purpose.
BPSOS is a national Vietnamese-American community-based organization with the mission to "empower, organize, and equip Vietnamese individuals and communities in their pursuit of liberty and dignity.
Since its establishment in 2001, the Bridgette Mayer Gallery has represented and exhibited artists whose work displays the variety and genius of contemporary art now being created in the US.
Founded in 1991, the British American Business Council (BABC) of Greater Philadelphia serves to promote increased trade and investment between the UK and Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. The council facilitates social and commercial interaction for the benefit of the individual, the corporation and the region in which we operate. Located in Center City Philadelphia, the BABC is an affiliate of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and is supported by major businesses in the region. Currently, the BABC has a membership of over 250 companies and individuals that have businesses in the region.
CAIR-Philadelphia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting the understanding of Islam in the Philadelphia area. According to their website, they are the largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization in the United States.
Started in 2015, Cambodian American Girls Empowering (CAGE) is a community service and nonprofit organization that highlights Cambodian American culture through dance. According to their website, they seek to foster a group of individuals who use art as activism to foster power in eachother and in their communties.
