The Philadelphia region is home to hundreds of non-profit organizations, civic and professional associations, and public agencies dedicated to connecting the region to the rest of the world and enhancing its international reputation.  

Whether it's an international development agency working on behalf of women's rights in Afghanistan or teaching sustainable agricultural techniques in Africa, an association of citizens organized in support of the goals of the United Nations, a chapter of the International Visitors Council dedicated to citizen diplomacy, or a chamber of commerce focused on promoting business ties with South America, you can find it here.

Philadelphia250
Philadelphia250 is the organization coordinating the United States’ 250th anniversary in Philadelphia. We believe that 2026 is a galvanizing moment for our city and our country. We’re using that moment to ignite the passions of Philadelphians with the revolutionary spirit of the Declaration of Independence—to create a commemoration that is truly by the people, for the people. In 2026 we invite the world to partake in a celebration of our diverse passions, interests, cultures and creativity. Our goals include:
Rough Cut Productions
Rough Cut Productions is a collaborative media production team handling all aspects of media creation with a significant focus upon video production. Rough Cut was founded by Douglas Herman- Director of media studies at Science Leadership Academy in 2009, and has been providing professional media services for the greater Philadelphia area ever since.
Samuel Fels Fund
The Samuel S. Fels Fund is a private independent foundation with a commitment to improving conditions and opportunities for communities that are marginalized within the City of Philadelphia. We provide grants to support services, advocacy and activities that move us towards a more socially, racially and economically just society.
Select Greater Philadelphia
Select Greater Philadelphia (Select) is an economic development marketing organization dedicated to attracting companies to Greater Philadelphia. Select assists companies interested in the region by providing detailed information about the 11-county area.
Shofuso Japanese House and Garden
Shofuso Japanese House and Garden, a traditional-style Japanese house and garden reflects the history of Japanese culture in Philadelphia, from the 1876 Centennial Exposition to the installation of its contemporary paintings in 2007. Shofuso was built in Japan in 1953 using traditional techniques and materials and exhibited in the courtyard at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. It was moved to Philadelphia in 1958, to the site of several previous Japanese structures and gardens dating to the 1876 Centennial Exposition.
South Asia Center of the University of Pennsylvania
 The South Asia Center at the University of Pennsylvania coordinates faculty and students drawn from many departments and several schools who develop and participate in community and campus-wide programs and activities pertaining to South Asia. The organization works in consonance with the Department of South Asia Studies and the Graduate Group in South Asia Regional Studies and provides outreach activities to K-12 teachers and students in surrounding communities.  
Springside Chestnut Hill Academy
Springside Chestnut Hill Academy was formed by the 2010 merger between all-girls Springside School and all-boys Chestnut Hill Academy, private Pre-K–12 schools on adjacent campuses.
Temple School of Tourism and Hospitality Management
The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) is the largest provider of tourism, hospitality, sport and recreation management education in the Philadelphia region and an international model for innovative teaching and research.
Temple University Global Engagement
The Office of International Affairs leads Temple's international initiatives, promoting globalization as one of Temple's core values. The office brings together various constituencies and units, working to integrate a global perspective throughout Temple's academic and co-curricular programs.

The Africa Center at the University of Pennsylvania
ASC brings researchers, students and cultural and business entities together to gain knowledge of contemporary and historical Africa.
The Athenaeum of Philadelphia
The Athenaeum of Philadelphia is an independent member-supported library and museum that engages members, scholars and the interested general public to join actively in the cultural and intellectual life of Philadelphia and participate in historical, literary and educational activities.
The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia
Their Mission: To be a sustainable musical institution that brings the intimate experience of a world-class chamber orchestra performance to the greater Philadelphia area, enriching the musical life of the City and region by the integrity and excellence of its musicianship, the boldness and vitality of its programming, and by cultivating and building the loyalty of its audiences, musicians and supporters. Founded in 1964.
The Community College of Philadelphia
The Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia
The Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia is a civic project to increase understanding of one of America’s greatest cities. From abolition and the American Revolution to yellow fever and zoos (with cheesesteaks, rowhouses, and hundreds of other topics in between), the digital Encyclopedia volume and its print volume will offer the most comprehensive, authoritative reference source ever created for the Philadelphia region.
The Forum of Executive Women
The Forum of Executive Women is a membership organization of over 400 women of influence in the Greater Philadelphia region, whose members hold top positions in every major segment of the community.
The Franklin Institute
Founded in honor of America’s first scientist, Benjamin Franklin, The Franklin Institute is one of the oldest and premier centers of science education and development in the country. Today, the Institute continues its dedication to public education and creating a passion for science by offering new and exciting access to science and technology in ways that would dazzle and delight its namesake.
The Lauder Institute
Founded in 1983 by Leonard A. Lauder, Chairman Emeritus of the Estee Lauder Companies and the Honorable Ronald S. Lauder, the Lauder Institute now has a 30-year tradition of preparing future business leaders through a joint degree program in international management, integrating an MA in International Studies from Penn's School of Arts and Sciences with a Wharton MBA or a JD from Penn Law.
The Museum of the American Revolution
The Museum of the American Revolution will chronicle the full sweep of the war—the deadly struggle between British and American forces as well as the growth of the idea of independence.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1827 that offers programs, activities, workshops, and publications for gardeners of all levels and interests. Proceeds from the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, as well as donations from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individuals, support PHS programs and initiatives, including Plant One Million, a multi-state tree-planting campaign, and City Harvest, which grows fresh produce for more than 1,200 families in need each week. PHS motivates people to improve the quality of life and create a sense of community through horticulture.
