The Philadelphia region is home to hundreds of non-profit organizations, civic and professional associations, and public agencies dedicated to connecting the region to the rest of the world and enhancing its international reputation.  

Whether it's an international development agency working on behalf of women's rights in Afghanistan or teaching sustainable agricultural techniques in Africa, an association of citizens organized in support of the goals of the United Nations, a chapter of the International Visitors Council dedicated to citizen diplomacy, or a chamber of commerce focused on promoting business ties with South America, you can find it here.

The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) is the largest provider of tourism, hospitality, sport and recreation management education in the Philadelphia region and an international model for innovative teaching and research.

The Center for Architecture performs the charitable and educational work of American Institute of Architects (AIA) Philadelphia and serves as the physical home for the Chapter in Center City Philadelphia.

Founded in 1964.
The Encyclopedia of Greater Philadelphia is a civic project to increase understanding of one of America’s greatest cities. From abolition and the American Revolution to yellow fever and zoos (with cheesesteaks, rowhouses, and hundreds of other topics in between), the digital Encyclopedia volume and its print volume will offer the most comprehensive, authoritative reference source ever created for the Philadelphia region.
The Forum of Executive Women is a membership organization of over 400 women of influence in the Greater Philadelphia region, whose members hold top positions in every major segment of the community.
Founded in honor of America’s first scientist, Benjamin Franklin, The Franklin Institute is one of the oldest and premier centers of science education and development in the country. Today, the Institute continues its dedication to public education and creating a passion for science by offering new and exciting access to science and technology in ways that would dazzle and delight its namesake.
The Gupta Foundation is a non profit corporation funded in 1999 and located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, supporting non-profit organizations that address the local communities and educational needs in USA and abroad. This organization benefits international, foreign affairs and national security, focusing specifically on international development, relief services programs. 
Founded in 1983 by Leonard A. Lauder, Chairman Emeritus of the Estee Lauder Companies and the Honorable Ronald S. Lauder, the Lauder Institute now has a 30-year tradition of preparing future business leaders through a joint degree program in international management, integrating an MA in International Studies from Penn's School of Arts and Sciences with a Wharton MBA or a JD from Penn Law.
The Barry and Marie Lipman Family Prize is made possible through a generous gift from Barry and Marie Lipman, and reflects their own strong commitment to socially responsible organizations and action. The Prize is administered by the University of Pennsylvania through the Wharton School and engages faculty, staff, and students from across the University. Barry & Marie Lipman: Barry Lipman, W’70, and his wife Marie have been active in the social sector for more than 25 years.
A leader in scientific discovery, the Monell Chemical Senses Center expands our fundamental understanding of taste and smell – the chemical senses – through research, training, and communication. The Center’s cutting–edge research identifies the underlying mechanisms of taste and smell and probes their involvement in appetite, nutrition, and disease to benefit human health and well-being.
The Museum of the American Revolution will chronicle the full sweep of the war—the deadly struggle between British and American forces as well as the growth of the idea of independence.
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1827 that offers programs, activities, workshops, and publications for gardeners of all levels and interests. Proceeds from the PHS Philadelphia Flower Show, as well as donations from foundations, corporations, government agencies, and individuals, support PHS programs and initiatives, including Plant One Million, a multi-state tree-planting campaign, and City Harvest, which grows fresh produce for more than 1,200 families in need each week. PHS motivates people to improve the quality of life and create a sense of community through horticulture.
The Mayor’s Fund for Philadelphia supports programs and initiatives that improve the quality of lives for Philadelphians and align with one of the Mayor’s five strategic goals.
The Philadelphia Foundation has been committed to improving the quality of life in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties for 90 years, through funds established by the donors. As a public charity community foundation, they manage more than 800 charitable funds, maximizing the strategic impact of charitable contributions.
