Philadelphia Inquirer Reports that US Airways is Considering Nonstop Asia Flights from Philadelphia International Airport
By Paul Nussbaum -- Philadelphia will be the US Airways hub for nonstop flights to Asia if the airline launches service to China, Japan or Turkey, airline officials said. US Airways, the dominant carrier at Philadelphia International, operates 84 percent of the international flights. Philadelphia-area travelers who want nonstop service to Asia must currently go to Newark, New York, or Washington-Dulles.

Penn Museum Offers a New Look at an Ancient Prophecy in MAYA: 2012 Lords of Time
The belief that the Mayans had predicated the end of the world to be around winter solstice of this year has spurred an increased interest in Mayan lore and history, both fact and fiction. The MAYA 2012: Lords of Time exhibit at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology (May 5, 2012 - Jan 13, 2013) seeks to educate on the truth behind the legends, along with exposing the rich history of the ancient Mayans.
